I used to be interested in these things, but not any more. However, some DOS users may be interested in having drivers for the current sound cards. But MPXPLAY is a 32-bit program and DOS device drivers are 16-bit (the only exception is NDOS.EXE, the NTFS/ext2/ext3 driver). As to the programmer's experience, the experienced sound card programmers for DOS in the world can probably be counted on the fingers of one hand...
