Funny, it seems to mistake Enhanced DR-DOS for Windows. ;-))

I can't currently say which of the many checks it performs makes it
do this, but I suspect that the combination of a particular DOS
version number and memory manager makes it believe it is running
under Windows.

Try using VERSION=6.00 in CONFIG.SYS, or temporarily disable EMM386.
