Of course the intention wasn't bad, and the GPL allows this. But the EDR-DOS DEFRAG will remain a "fork" of the FreeDOS DEFRAG and its changes are unlikely to be merged back into the FreeDOS DEFRAG. The only FreeDOS programmer who had good attitude to EDR-DOS was Kenneth Jeremiah Davis (e.k.a. Jeremy). Alas, he's no longer there. The other half of the remaining FreeDOS developers neglects EDR-DOS, as far as I can see. |
