1. It can write a boot sector and copy the files to an USB stick,
but the boot sector itself is not compatible.

2. IIRC, you can simply truncate the image to 1474560 bytes to
create a raw disk image from an DISKCOPY image.

3. Alas, it apparently cannot boot from USB sticks using the FD boot
sector. I am currently working on this problem.

As a work-around, you could try booting it with SYSLINUX.
