I removed drdos.sys from the CD, and still only gets as far as "Supported version ...".
I am doing all this on a P-III laptop, so I guess it does not work with all P-III's. I guess I need an explanation about DOSLFN, is this built into edr-dos, or do you still need to run an DOSLFN program? I tried running it with DOSLFN installed, and it still truncated a long file name. It does the same thing with freeDOS, also. So, I do not know what is going with that.
I found some USB drivers from Panasonic, and a driver for a flash drive, it is working pretty good with the freeDOS setup. I was trying to get an edr-dos setup going, but I am running into problems.
