Hi there. I'm planning on switching to Enhanced DR-DOS soon for just about everything, and I'm in the market for a palmtop/ultraportable. I've looked around and the wide selection of choices plus the lack of information on many models is really frustrating me. So I'm wondering if I can have a machine made with the following specifications? As you'll see, I'm very flexible. Btw, I'm totally blind, as I said in another thread, so that's why I don't require a mouse, touchscreen, excellent graphics etc. When I mention accessibility, I'm referring to screenreader-compatible programs. I've included it incase any of you here are blind or visually-impaired. If so, please get back to me. I have some questions for you and don't want to clutter the list. Dbd means determined by designer, or in the case of a preexisting machine, whatever is best. Form Factor
Memory
Cpu
Input
Screen-related
Battery
Connectivity
OS
Software
Ideal/optional
That's all I could think of for now. The last category is purely optional, though the sound card would be great. I highly doubt the speech is possible but had to add it. So how much would it cost? Does anyone know where I can have this computer made or if there's already one out there that meets a decent amount of my specifications? I have a Compaq Armada 1750, with incredible specs, but it's large and extremely heavy. Maybe, there's another smaller Windows 95 machine that I can convert for use with DOS. |
