Thanks for the suggestion. I'll tell my friends about it, since I know some who are in the market for a cheap netbook. It sounds great for Windows, but I can't really use it for DOS. I need either a serial port or a pcmcia card slot for my speech synthesizer since there are no software synths available for that operating system. This netbook has neither option, nor does it have a parallel port for my printer or braille embosser. There are usb to serial connectors but I don't want to carry anything extra and, to my knowledge, DOS can only handle usb when used with storage devices. They say that this computer is configurable, but I doubt you could change the hardware on it. I definitely don't mind getting a used one, especially if it's made well, is in good working condition and is more in line with what I'm seeking. I don't trust many of the cheaper mass-produced things from today. There are some, I'm sure that are very nice. But usually, I try to stick with things made in Japan, America or other countries known for their technology.
