Okay, here it comes - the ultimate DR-DOS FAT32 installation guide,
tested and guaranteed to work:

You need one of the Enhanced DR-DOS boot disk file archives (e.g.
DR70107B.ZIP), DRSYS35B.ZIP and DR703.EXE (or a similar DR-DOS 7.0x
distribution).

1. Unpack DR70107.ZIP and run MAKEBOOT to create a bootable floppy
disk.
2. Unpack DRSYS35B.ZIP and copy SYS.COM to the boot disk.
3. Create a directory called D7 (or whatever you like) on the drive
you want to install it to (let's assume it is drive C:), and unpack
DR703.exe there.
4. If you happen to have the floppy disk images set, create floppy
disks from them with MAKEDISK and copy their contents to D7.
5. Copy VDISK.SYS to the boot disk, create a CONFIG.SYS file on it
with the line DEVICE=A:\VDISK.SYS 1000 512 512 /E.
6. Boot with the boot disk, then change to drive C: and CD to D7.
7. Run INSTALL.EXE
8. Proceed with the installation until you come to the "Select
Software to Install" screen. Select "Change Installation
Directories".
9. Change "DOS system files" from C:\ to D:\ (or whatever your VDISK
drive points to. This is important!
10. Proceed with the installation until you come to the "Install
Completed" screen. Do NOT select "Restart Operationg System" but
rather hit ALT-X and select "Exit to DOS".
11. Use COPY D:\ C:\ (replace these with the actual drive letters).
12. Change to drive A: again and use SYS C: to transfer the Enhanced
DR-DOS files.
13. Use EDIT from C:\DRDOS on C:\CONFIG.SYS and C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT and
replace all occurrences of D:\ with C:\.
14. Reboot!

That should be all that is necessary.
